Overview of Motorized Butterfly Valve

Fault 1: Leakage at the packing of the motorized butterfly valve

Cause analysis:

① The packing is seriously aged;

② The gland bolts are not tightened or loose;

Solution:

① Replace the new packing;

② Tighten the gland bolts evenly;

Fault 2: Leakage at the end cover

Cause analysis:

① The bolts are not tightened;

② The O-ring is damaged;

Solution:

① Check whether the bolts are loose and tighten them;

② Replace the new O-ring;

Fault 3: Leakage on the sealing surface

Cause analysis:

① The butterfly plate is not closed in place;

② The sealing surface is dirty, resulting in poor closure;

③ The sealing surface is damaged;

Solution:

① Adjust the screws on the electric actuator of the motorized butterfly valve to close the butterfly plate in place

② Clean the dirt accumulated on the sealing surface ;

③Repair the damaged sealing surface;

Fault 4: The motorized device is not flexible, causing the valve to fail to open and close normally

Cause analysis:

① The packing is pressed too tightly;

② The packing gland is not tightened in place and tilts;

③ The transition device is damaged;

Solution:

① Do not press the packing gland too tightly, loosen it appropriately;

② Correct the verticality of the packing gland;

Fault 5: The motor does not stop or the opening and closing are incomplete after the opening and closing are completed

Cause analysis:

① The limit switch fails or the overload protection device is inaccurate;

② The limit switch acts too early or reacts too late;

Solution:

① Replace the limit switch or adjust the overload device to ensure accuracy;

② Adjust the reaction speed of the limit switch;
