How to Install Flange Butterfly Valve?

1. Before installing the flange butterfly valve, check that all parts of the pneumatic butterfly valve are intact and the model is correct. Check that there is no debris inside the valve body and that there are no blockages in the solenoid valve and muffler.

2. Place both the valve and cylinder in the closed position.

3. Collision the cylinder onto the valve (installation direction can be parallel or perpendicular to the valve body), and then check if the screw holes are aligned without too much deviation. If there is a slight deviation, rotate the cylinder body a little and then tighten the screws.

4. After installation, debug the pneumatic butterfly valve (under normal gas supply pressure of 0.4~0.6MPa). During debugging and operation, the solenoid valve must be manually operated to open and close (manual operation can only be effective after the solenoid valve coil is powered off), as well as the opening and closing situation of the pneumatic butterfly valve. If during the debugging and operation process, it is found that the valve has some difficulty in opening and closing at the beginning, but then it works normally, it is necessary to reduce the cylinder stroke (adjust the stroke adjustment screws at both ends of the cylinder to be slightly inward, run the valve to the open position, and then turn off the air source before adjusting) until the valve opens and closes smoothly without any leakage. It should also be noted that the adjustable muffler can adjust the opening and closing speed of the valve, but it should not be adjusted too small, otherwise, it may cause the valve not to move.

5. Dehua should be kept dry before installation and should not be stored outdoors
6. Before installing the butterfly valve, check the pipeline to ensure that there is no welding slag or other foreign objects inside.
7. The manual opening and closing resistance of the butterfly valve body is moderate, and the butterfly valve torque matches the selected actuator torque.
8. The flange specifications for butterfly valve connections are correct, and the pipe clamp flange matches the butterfly valve flange standards. It is recommended to use butterfly valve-specific flanges and flat welding flanges should not be used.
9. Confirm that the flange welding is correct, and do not weld the flange again after the butterfly valve is installed to avoid scalding the rubber parts.
10. The installed pipeline flange should be aligned and aligned with the placed butterfly valve.
11. Install all flange bolts and tighten them by hand to confirm that the butterfly valve is aligned with the flange, then carefully open and close the butterfly valve to ensure flexible opening and closing.
12. Fully open the valve and tighten the bolts in diagonal order with a wrench, without the need for washers. Do not tighten the bolts too tightly to prevent serious deformation of the valve ring and excessive opening and closing torque.
