What Is An Electric Operated Ball Valve?
Overview of Electric Actuated Ball Valve
The electric-operated ball valves are composed of two parts: the valve electric device and the ball valve. As the power output part, the valve electric device drives the ball valve stem to rotate, which in turn drives the ball core to rotate. Control the medium by switching, adjusting, reversing, converging, diverging, etc. It has the characteristics of long transmission distance, high signal sensitivity and precision, easy control, and simple wiring.
The electric device consists of the following parts:
The special electric motor provides torque.
The deceleration mechanism reduces the motor output speed.
The torque control mechanism regulates and controls the torque not to exceed the limit value.
The stroke control mechanism adjusts and controls the opening and closing position of the valve.
Position indicating mechanism to display the position of the valve during opening and closing.
Manual electric switching mechanism, used to switch manual or electric operation.
Handwheel operating mechanism to manually open and close the valve in case of a power outage.
The electric device is of the angular stroke partial rotation type. The normal turning angle is 90 degrees. Equipped with different ball valves, the turning angles are different.

Connection of Electric Actuated Ball Valves
The connection between the electric device and the ball valve generally uses brackets and couplings. The bracket is used to connect the electric device and the ball valve to fix them as one. The coupling is used to transmit the torque of the electric device to the ball valve stem, thereby driving the ball core to rotate.
High-platform ball valves do not require bracket installation. The connection dimensions between the ball valve and the electrical installation comply with ISO 5211 standards and generally use diagonal square-head drive connections. Installation, maintenance, and replacement are more convenient and faster. It is the first choice for electric ball valves.
